One such example is CHESTER MARKET. Dating back over 900 years in different guises on or near the present location, the current manifestation is arguably the best it has ever been.

The new Chester Market opened its doors to the public on Tuesday 8th November 2022. The new market has now welcomed over one million visitors in under six months, a landmark reached in May 2023. Already a big hit with residents, visitors from across the UK and internationally are also discovering the delights of the new market.

The new market is located in Exchange Square,
off Northgate Street Chester, CH1 2AR

Tuesday – Saturday: 8am – 10pm
Sundays: 10am – 9pm
Closed Mondays (including Bank Holidays)

Produce and goods traders are open between 8am – 6pm
(from 10am on Sundays)
Food & Beverage Traders are open between 11am – 10pm
(although some open from 8am also).
