Tattenhall-trained sprinter, Shannon Malone, won her first Great Britain vest in Mannheim, Germany at the weekend.
Deeside AC athlete Shannon trains under the guidance of Dave Knott in the gym at Tattenhall Recreation Club working specifically on her Strength & Conditioning.

Her improved strength and power enabled her to achieve new personal best times in successive weeks over 60 metres indoors last February to become the under 20s Welsh champion before winning the Silver medal in the English Championships just a week later.

Shannon hopes to achieve a qualifying time for the European Junior Championships in July.
