Ford Lane Bridge repairs start

The work on the railway bridge in Ford Lane has started at last.

I walked through there the other day on the Eddisbury Way from Newton Lane towards the bridge to find that the compound in the field cuts off access to the steps down to the lane, but the path is diverted around the fencing to a gateway.

There is no route under the bridge, which is where the work is taking place, and the line itself will be closed for about a week in August.
