First Anniversary of the Repair cafe

The Repair cafe celebrated rated its first anniversary last Sunday, with a stylish cake ! See photograph.

The volunteers have been successfully mending all sorts of things that would have gone to the tip for the last year. Over 120 items have been repaired, and not many things have had to be thrown away because they were beyond repair.

Chairs, clothes, simple electrical equipment, knives and garden tools sharpened – all given a new lease of life, and even a sad little stuffed monkey called Monks was saved for future generations!

All this done by willing and very able volunteers.
