Erection of School Fence Starts ...

As Tattenhall Online advised last month, the erection of the School Fence was always going to start before Christmas 2017.

And so it has .....

• The updated FAQs on this topic which appeared on The Tattenhall Park Primary School Website included this information and on which 'we' reported to you last month.
• Whilst some Tattenhallers support the fencing of this large parcel of amenity and open space as a means of keeping their children 'safe', there are many members of the community who continue to lament the lack of an 'adequate consultation process' on this entire issue.
• We also understand that the school has appointed a 'Community Engagement Sub-Committee', the remit of which is to steer the school in creating a positive impact on the community. One might reasonably question why they chose not to advise the entire community that work would commence on the erection of the school fence today.
• Similarly, there appears to have been no announcement from the school on how the community will access this fenced space out of school hours.
