Environment Agency Complete Flood Prevention Work at Mill Brook

Welcome to the 'Flacca Wetland'.

The Environment Agency has finished the flood prevention work on the Mill Brook and the Agency has handed over the future management of the area to Tattenhall Wildlife Group (TWiG).

It has been decided to name this area the 'Flacca Wetland' which includes the newly restored area (click on image to enlarge) plus a series of ponds, scrapes and reedbeds which extend up to the public footpath linking Burwardsley Road with Dark Lane.

Ongoing work will now take place to enhance the area and TWiG will be working with the Community to achieve this; our local Guide and Scout Groups will construct an additional dam across the Mill Brook.
