Do you have a Story? We want to publish it!

From the fantastic feedback that we have received from you regarding 'Tattenhall Online', you think that our Website is a terrific village resource.

During the last few months we have also made the site more user-friendly, taking on board your valuable comments.

However, we still want 'Tattenhallers' to regularly contribute stories for the site.

We, like you, place a premium on accuracy and truth, so it is important that what we print is accurate. We also remain apolitical.

Our 'Top Tips' are:

• 'The 3 Cs' – make information clear, concise and correct. Our users often want to process information quickly.
• Other stories do require a longer alternative – it is just about getting the balance right and stripping out anything that is not really necessary.
• The 'Who, What, Why, When and Where' rule is also really useful and keeps you (and our users) focused
• It is useful to think of the profile of our users – we are trying to help them to quickly understand and process the content of a story.
• Including a quote is always useful.
• A snappy headline can also be the making of a great story.
• Don't forget to include a great image too!
