Deliveries – where is your safe place?

The webteam were alerted to an incident a couple of days before Christmas, a delivery firm said they had delivered a package and left it in the 'safe place' by the customer's back door.

There was no package there and the Tattenhall residents found that by having a 'safe place' option their consumer rights were restricted.

As a user of this option, it struck a chord with me. I have now removed my 'safe place' option on at least one regular supplier. It may be inconvenient to have to collect or arrange for re-delivery, but the alternative ...?

There are a number of options available, neighbours – if they are willing or delivery to a shop is an offering from some vendors; these are just a couple.
