I always thought that particular members of the WI would have been suffragettes in another life, particularly with the rallying cry 'DEEDS NOT WORDS'...
They are not alone, however, Helen Rideal has also advised of more 'DEEDS NOT WORDS' planned for Friday.
In context, you might recall that we featured the 2 images to the right last month, but ironically our images were actually taken nearly 12 months apart(!). Litter, therefore, continues to be an anti-social problem within our village.
We have also raised the 'local litter problem' as a 'Concern of the Week' previously and we have publicised numerous 'Litter Picks' within the village.
As part of the Great British Clean Campaign (supported by CWaC), 2 Litter Picks have now been arranged for this Friday.
Join either and make Tattenhall a village of which we can be truly proud.
So, join the WI:
*Date: Friday 3 March
*Time: 11.00am
*Location: at the pavement area by Alpha House/The Rectory
*Equipment Required: Plastic Bag/Grabber (available at the 50p shop if you don't have one)/Plastic Gloves if you have them.
Or, join Helen Rideal's Team:
*Date: Friday 3 March
*Time: 1.30pm
*Location: The Rec Club
*Equipment Reqired: As above.
All welcome.
Please keep us up-to-date if you too have organised a 'litter pick' in your own part of the village this weekend and we will keep the site updated.
