We've all spotted some early butterflies during the recent heatwave.

Just to keep you up to speed, The Big Butterfly Count begins on Friday 15 July 2022 and runs until Sunday 7 August.

So, get ready to take part in this UK-wide survey which aims to assess the health of our environment simply by counting the number and types of butterflies (and some day-flying moths).

There are handy ID butterfly charts to download or you can count on the move with the FREE big butterfly count app.
