Countdown to new Landlord at The Sportsmans Arms

Lance Warburton takes up the keys to The Sportsmans Arms on Monday 31 July 2017.

The pub will remain open and he will be welcoming customers from 3pm.

Initially, The Sportsmans Arms will be open for drinks only.

Leo Jackson, will be resident and operating the pub on a daily basis and will be overseen by Lance Warburton.

Leo has over 20 years experience in the pub trade and has been a friend to Lance throughout, working with him for the last 4 years.

Head Chef, Matthew Arrowsmith, is also currently working on a traditional pub menu consisting of locally sourced, home-cooked food with a modern twist.

The menu will consist of pub classics as well as bar nibbles, sharing platters and, of course, a traditional roast served on Sundays.

Lance is looking to recruit a Senior Chef to work at The Sportsmans Arms and he aims to have the kitchen up and running within the next few weeks!

All of this will be topped off with a bar which will be serving cask ales, craft beers, a variety of gins, fine wine and a very warm welcome – Lance and his colleagues look forward to meeting you all in the very near future.
