Countdown to CarFest

Looking for any excuse to use my favourite picture I've ever used on the website, I am always thrilled to be able to talk about roast potatoes.

CarFest have finely revealed the line-up for the the tasty RoastFest competition, which will be opened by the wonderful Tom Kerridge – who will also be sharing his own roasting tips.
Local restaurants going all out with the big spuds to win this coveted award include the Cholmondeley Arms, Alderley Edge Hotel & Restaurant, Chef & Brewer and the Ring O' Bells. You can come along to the Food Fair at CarFest to try the roasts and gravy.
I can't wait – I'm off on a pub crawl with a difference to try the best of the best! Incidentally the Guiness World Record for most mashed potatoes eaten in 30 seconds is 360 g (12.69 oz) and was achieved by Ashrita Furman (USA) in New York, New York, USA, on 30 November 2015. There is no current record for roast potatoes so I'll take my stopwatch with me...
