Conversion of The Bear and Ragged Staff Planning Application Refused

The proposal to convert The Bear and Ragged Staff into 7 apartments has been REFUSED by CWaC.

The full details of the proposal were:

Conversion of existing public house to 7 apartments, demolition of existing toilet block and rear staircase/store; and construction of 2 new dwellings, associated car parking, landscaping and other ancillary works.

Many of you will know that this has been discussed in meetings of the Parish Council and that the general view has been that the proposal was contrary to the Neighbourhood Plan and the continuing vitality and vibrancy of our High Street.
