Confession of An Idiot- Part 2

You may remember last August a Tattenhall resident informed us of his slow response to implementing the use of his Operation Shield DNA Marker kit. He informed us then that he had finally got round to marking his in-house valuables as recommended. He closed his letter to us as follows:

"I feel less like an idiot now and will move on to marking all my garden furniture and tools. I shudder to think how much I have spent on mower, hedge cutter, shears, secateurs and other garden tools, all of which are relatively easy to steal. From now on, the thief will be the idiot, not me"

Well, he has now sent us this further confession:

"Last August I proudly announced that I was about to DNA mark my garden tools. Six months later I have actually done it. Did I really think that criminals stop stealing during the winter months? Anyway the job is now done with Operation Shield stickers on my shed door and greenhouse."

Seriously garden implements are relatively vulnerable. We know that many of you have Operation Shield kits only partially used or, perish the thought, as yet unused. We endorse the recommendation of our reformed idiot. For more information from Cheshire Police, Click Here
