Climate change is an ongoing challenge for communities worldwide, including here in west Cheshire. Lots of action is already taking place in the area to help address our changing climate, but even more needs to be done. We want to work alongside our communities to understand the opportunities and challenges we face as we work towards creating a greener, healthier and more resilient borough. Building on the Council's current Climate Emergency Response Plan, this is the start of a process to design a new Plan for how the Council will support the borough to reach net zero by 2045.
Following discussions with a range of Council services, we have come up with some themes and proposed priorities for the new plan. Some of the proposed priorities are new ideas, and some have come from the existing Climate Emergency Response Plan. We would like to understand people's views on them and if there is anything else that should be included in the new Plan. Make your comments HERE
