Choral Evensong at St Albans on Sunday 18th October

Choral Evensong this Sunday at 6:30 – 7:30

The Vox Vocavit Choir will be leading the Choral Evensong service this Sunday in St Albans, commencing at 6:30.

Choral Evensong is a traditional Anglican Church Service held near twilight that consists, almost entirely, of music, scripture, and prayer performed by a choir. It dates back to the English Reformation in 1549 compiled by Thomas Cranmer. The current liturgy is mostly routed in the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. The choir sings the responses, psalms, canticles and an anthem. The congregation listens, meditates  and joins in the hymns and spoken prayers.

This beautiful service is free and open to everyone.
