Reintroduction of Hourly Train Service – Chester to Liverpool

Transport for Wales has announced that from December 10ththey will be reintroducing an hourly Chester to Liverpool service, via Liverpool Airport, providing a key link for commuters, shoppers, tourists and travellers.

This will be a welcome development, and will help many in the Chester area, and as Tattenhall has a direct bus service to Chester Railway Station every hour, there is the opportunity for seamless travel.

Brand new trains have joined the fleet and more are set to be introduced over the next two years.

TfW's Planning and Performance Director Colin Lea said: "We're delighted to be introducing new services on key routes ........ in this timetable period. The full return of Liverpool-Chester services is now possible following completion of crew training on our new trains."
