WHAT A DIFFERENCE ONE WOMAN CAN MAKE.

Alison Pritchard is such a woman – since Alison is not one for promoting her own achievements, then this member of the Webteam has no shame in sharing Alison's selfless contributions to the life of this village over a substantial period of time ..... and, importantly, promoting her very latest venture.

As we all know Tattenhall is a tight-knit community. With this in mind, there can surely not be a resident who doesn't know of the enormity of Alison Pritchard's generosity and support to our community, whether it be in relation to her business, to her sustained contributions to TADs, to her establishment of the Tattenhall Business Alliance in its formative period or to her work as a Parish Councillor. This woman deserves an 'Award' you shout!

Alison started her 'Country Kitchen' just over 20 years ago, based at Cheshire Ice Cream Farm. She then moved her business into the village, located at the old filling station, and then some 7 years ago re-located into Jupiter House on the High Street. With the support of Bolesworth Estate, Alison was determined to bring her vision of a community-based coffee shop into the nucleus of the village, thus maintaining and sustaining the vibrancy and vitality of our village.

Is there anyone who hasn't dropped in for coffee and cake at this fantastic social hub; who hasn't held their early morning meetings on site; who hasn't had a quick social gathering after dropping the kids off at school; who hasn't seen groups of cyclists stopping off for quick refreshments; who hasn't stumbled in for warming hot chocolate (memories of all those muddy Beavers after their tree planting session and Alison didn't bat an eye) and who hasn't called on her for help and sponsorship with fundraising and local charity events – the list goes on and on ....

This summer 'Alison's Country Kitchen' reaches a milestone – a celebration of 20 years in business.

In celebration of this '20th Birthday Anniversary', her business continues to evolve, and Alison, Ron and the Team are very proud to announce the launch of 'Alison's Tapas Kitchen and Bar' which will officially open on the evening of Thursday 2nd August with bookings now being taken.

In addition to the day-time coffee shop which we all know and love, Alison's will:

  • Open every Thursday and Friday evening from 4-10pm
  • Offer traditional Mediterranean Tapas
  • Stock a range of Wines, Beers and Gins (the premises are now fully licensed)
  • Continue to welcome children (with a special menu just for the little ones)

Additional seating has also been installed in the front garden – the elevated view of the village centre from the front garden is truly remarkable.

Alison's Country Kitchen prides itself on being a warm and welcoming venue for everyone, and the newly decorated coffee shop and bar will continue to be just that.

She would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support over the past 20 years and looks forward to welcoming new and old customers to this new chapter in the life of her business.

Without a doubt, Tattenhall is richer for having a business-woman like Alison; an individual who thrives on hard work, who juggles family commitments, who involves herself fully in community work and yet who (with a ready smile) still finds the time to spend many hours at the coffee shop itself.

Tattenhall Online wishes her continued success in this new venture!
