Following the overwhelming success of our 'Nostalgic Burwardsley' Exhibition in the Spring, Terri Hull and Yvonne Keeping are now organising Exhibition No. 2. The weekend event last March raised a staggering £1264 towards the installation of a Burwardsley 'Roll of Honour' within the Church of St John the Divine. We were packed to the rafters, representing community engagement at its very best.

Well, we pestered Terri and Yvonne as you requested us to do and they are already busy preparing for the next Exhibition. So, an early date for your diary – Exhibition No. 2 will be held at The Successfactory on 8th and 9th October 2016 (a huge 'thank you' to Graham Wilson for allowing us to again host the weekend at this superb venue). Exact details will follow in due course but this will be another excellent Exhibition, of that we are sure.

How can you help?
It might seem early but Exhibitions of the quality that we saw in the Spring take huge amounts of time and energy to prepare.
In preparation, therefore, please start emptying those cupboards, lofts and drawers to find long lost artefacts, photographs or postcards of Burwardsley which are evidence of what a wonderful Sandstone Village this is – farms, machinery, buildings, people, events – the earlier Terri and Yvonne have the material, the better.
Judging by the fantastic posters that they produced for us in the Spring Exhibition, you will not be disappointed and you will know that they treat all materials with great care and attention to detail.

Give Terri or Yvonne a call on the following numbers 01829 770026 & 01829 770935 if you have anything of interest or want to speak to them personally.

Similarly, if anyone finds further information on any of the Burwardsley men who died in the conflicts of both wars then please alert us to this too.

We look forward to seeing you all again in October!
