Book Launch – 'Tattenhall – A Community United by War'

In response to community requests to publish some of our findings, Tattenhall Local History has just published 'Tattenhall – A Community United by War'.

Covering both conflicts, the content seeks to raise awareness about the individual war experiences of many local men but also explores what life was like for those men and women who remained at home and of the individual and collective challenges that they experienced.

Much of the content within the book is new and seeks to complement information which is already to be found on the Tattenhall Local History Website www.tattenhallhistory.co.uk

The book launch was scheduled to coincide with the 75th Anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day on 8 May 2020.

As you will all know, however, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the cancellation and postponement of the community events which were planned for the Bank Holiday weekend of 8-10 May 2020.

That said, the books have now been delivered and we will keep you updated on the launch.
