BOLESWORTH'S ROCK WALK SPRINGS INTO LIFE

The Rock Walk at Bolesworth Castle is bursting with colour and heady scents of flowering delight with Camellias, Cherry blossom and glorious early Rhododendrons already providing an insight as to what lies ahead this May.

As a plethora of wonderous plants get ready to launch into life in Cheshire, Bolesworth will, for the first time since 2008, host an open-garden visitor event over two days in May. These public days are in association with the National Garden Scheme (NGS) whose nominated charities – Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Horatio's Garden, Maggie's, and Greenfingers Charity, amongst others, will benefit from the event.

For fans of stunning horticulture, fascinating woodlands, expansive vistas and beautiful yet challenging walks, a trip to Bolesworth Castle onFriday 12th or Saturday 13th May 2023 is a must-do and, what's more, all the proceeds from the modestly-priced £10 entry fee will go to the NGS charities.

Originally planted by Anthony Barbour in 1986, the Rock Walk stretches for half a mile above spectacular Bolesworth Castle and has recently been renovated with new planting, the creation of new paths and original stone features restored. Visitors will also be able to walk round the lake and through the castle gardens.

The Lost Barn coffee roasters will be on site to provide visitors with delicious coffee, cakes and soup on both days.

Breath-taking views giving unparalleled views of Cheshire, North Wales and Merseyside await keen walkers, and dogs on leads, with admittance open to those over the age of 12-years.
