Tough Tattenhall Flowers

BEFORE THE DELUGE

Carole Goodinson sent us this photo taken in Frog Lane before recent downpours. This gallant plant had managed to find a crack in the tarmac to put on quite a show.

Subsequently we had very heavy rainfall and flowers in gardens took quite a battering. Remarkably quite delicate bloomers recovered impressively.

AFTER THE DELUGE

Owners of a garden in Tattenhall Road were fearful of bad rain damage to their Roses and Dahlias. Some blooms were lost but the survivors made up for it — see right.
