Beware – Bus Lane Enforcement in Chester

Don't get caught – driving in a bus lane could lead to Penalty Charge Notice.

Many thanks to a reader alerting us to the fact that Cheshire West and Chester Council are using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) for bus lane enforcement at five locations in Chester:

• Wrexham Road
• Hough Green
• Upper Northgate Street
• St Oswald's Way
• Sealand Road

All bus lanes are clearly marked in white lines on the road and signs at the start of the lanes. Unauthorised entry into them will result in a Penalty Charge of £70.00 (although can be reduced to £35.00 if paid within 21 days).

Look out for them when driving, and avoid a penalty charge notice!
