Ben Woodburn Excels

After the excitement of the World Cup and with the football season just around the corner, we thought we would give you a quick update regarding Liverpool's summer tour and, importantly, the final match which was held in Michigan!!

Local boy, Ben Woodburn, has been on Liverpool's summer tour in preparation for the new season and came on for the last 45 minutes of the final match, in which Liverpool beat Manchester United 4-1.

The Liverpool Echo reports that 'Ben Woodburn (and other youngsters Nat Phillips, Rafa Camacho and Sheyi Ojo) excelled against United'.

An army of Liverpool fans who made up the majority of the 101,254 crowd inside the Michigan Stadium, must surely feel optimism for the new season.

For newcomers to the village or for those of you who don't know the Tattenhall connection .... Ben is a local boy and former pupil of Tattenhall Park Primary School and The Bishop Heber High School. Ben holds the record as Liverpool's youngest-ever goalscorer and he also scored a winning goal on his senior international debut for Wales as his team sealed a 1-0 victory over Austria.
