Until 94th minute, Bala Town were on course for the next round of the Europa Cup against Turkish giants, Trabzonspor. The Lakesiders had scored twice in the second half and looked to be going through by virtue of their away goal in Luxembourg; but it wasn't to be and the Rob Pearson fan club returned to Tattenhall late last night reflecting on how close they had come to a second European venture — to the shores of the Black Sea.
