With this in mind, it was such a lovely act of random kindness to have a brief (socially distanced) visit from Father Lameck one recent Sunday morning.
Up to that point, I had given no consideration whatsoever to the fact that Father Lameck had been knocking on individual doors, touching base, checking everyone was well and whether anyone needed anything at all.
Rural isolation can be very difficult for the young and for the old and for everyone in between!
Covid-19 has brought individual challenges to a variety of age groups and, of course, several Tattenhall residents have experienced Covid within our community, not least Father Lameck.
So whilst we sing the praises of how our community has pulled together during the recent pandemic and the recent flood event, let's not forget how an unannounced knock on the door, from a more than modest individual such as Father Lameck, can be very well received too!
