A Record Outcome – Over £5000 raised from Poppy Appeal

David Bish, our Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal Organiser for the Tattenhall district, has just released the details of the monies raised for 2018.

David, a member of our most recent Armistice Committee, was instrumental in the organisation of wreaths and the logistics involved in the Armistice Centenary commemorations on 11 November.

A staggering total of £5198.52 has been raised (as of 1 December) and may well exceed £6000 by the end of the year.

Apart from Tattenhall itself, David also has Brown Knowl, the businesses at Broxton roundabout, The Pheasant Inn and the Candle Factory within his remit. That said, the majority of the monies raised comes from Poppy sales within the village, within the Church collection and from the sale of wreaths.

David is hoping to have a Gazebo at the Bolesworth International Horse event in 2019, and he will also be running the London Marathon (again) for the Appeal. Both events are likely to swell the Poppy Appeal funds raised locally
