A comprehensive win for Tattenhall away to Northwich on Easter Saturday to open the 2019 season.

New Captain Roy Sandford was asked to bat first and the innings was anchored by Umer with a fine 63.

Solid contributions from Sadler, Reeves and Tom Fearnall on debut saw the innings close on 209 in the 44th over.

An under strength Northwich line up were no match for this total as opening bowlers Jack Hinchcliffe and Alan Brock picked up regular wickets to leave the Northwich reply in ruins as they were bowled out in just 14 overs for 27.

Jack Hinchcliffe finished with a career best 6-20 from his seven overs while Brock returned 4-7 from seven overs of precision seam bowling.

Tougher tests lie ahead for this inexperienced Tattenhall line up but a big first week win will give everyone a lift ahead of the home game next Saturday against Warrington.
