There maybe signs of spring but winter is still here, we want to ensure we stay well and free of all those winter time bugs and viruses!

Brendan and the team are keen to help with your health concerns, where they can.

Currently there is a severe respiratory illness about that can follow a sore throat and cold symptoms. For most of us not really a GP issue but rather call in to the Pharmacy and get advice and something to ease the symptoms. NHS111 will always be there to offer advice but are likely to recommend that the local pharmacy is the first port of call.

There are still stocks of the flu vaccination if you have not yet had it, although there has been a high take up so far this year. There has not been a lot of flu around so far this winter, It still might be good to get the added protection particularly if you are in a high risk group.

In the past year, there have been a number of anxieties about the supplies of drugs but the Team would like to assure everyone that there are no current causes for concern and it is important not to encourage the idea that anyone needs to stockpile. The Team will keep you informed if they anticipate any difficultues. There has been concern about the availability of HRT relating to production issues but there is currently no problem with availability and the team are grateful for your patience when an delay in supplies have been experienced.

The pharmacy continues to offer a wide range of advice on symptoms, over the counter medications, side effects and monitoring checks where regular medication, for example with anti-coagulants, is being used.

If you recieve regular medication on repeat perscription it is good to let the pharmacy team know giving a weeks notice, to ensure that your next batch is ready when you need it.

The WellPharmacy business is thriving here in Tattenhall and we look set to keep this imprortant community resource as the size and needs of the village grow. Customer loyalty is key to keeping the service, so we are encouraged to use this local service for all of our pharmacy needs.
