Tattenhall Gardening Society October 11th

As Autumn approaches, so does the Tattenhall Gardening Society2023/24 season of talks in the Barbour Institute. The first talk is 'Just Dahlias' on Weds 11 October, 7.45pm in the Barbour Institute and will be given by local grower, Philippa Stewart.

'Just Dahlias' is also Philippa's trading name and you can find her on Instagram. The clue's in the name: she's a dahlia fanatic and not only grows and supplies them fresh by the field full but has also developed a way of drying them. Seems unlikely, but the evidence is there to see and they do look simply gorgeous. Her produce is greatly in demand by floral designers and this is the perfect time of year to be talking about them. Hopefully she'll be able to bring along actual flowers, as well as photos, plus plenty of tips on selection, growing etc. and it should be a real visual treat.

Entry is free to members, everyone else £3 (pay on door). Tea/coffee included.

Annual membership fees are now due and the good news is that the rate remains the same as last year -- £14 single, £20 double.
