Dave McCall writes fiction books under the pen name David Ebsworth. He specialises in telling stories from history that he wishes somebody else had already written but which seem to have been overlooked – until now!

The characters may sometimes be fictitious but the historical episodes through which they wander are meticulously researched. In this talk, Dave reveals some of the "stranger than fiction" true stories that helped him find original ways to kill off some of his characters and create the background to his various historical thrillers and crime novels. Not for those of a nervous disposition!
