Tattenhall Croquet Club win National Award

Tattenhall Croquet Club was recently presented with the Townsend Award which is awarded annually by the Croquet Association to the most improved club in the Country. Members of the Club have worked tirelessly for the last six years, led by David Boyd and Paul Bennett, to turn a rough piece of ground into an immaculate lawn. This is now fenced and has equipment storage. The award also took into account the excellent facilities of the Clubhouse.

All costs of developing the ground were met by fundraising events, grants and donations from the National Croquet Association, Tattenhall Parish Council, local businesses and individual member donations. We are very grateful to all who have supported us
The Croquet Club is one of the nine sports offered by Sport Tattenhall which is run on a voluntary basis and funded by its' membership. Our Croquet Club offers a sport for all ages, is friendly and inclusive.
We welcome new members and provide all equipment and taster sessions. Early next year we will advertise our Open Day and times of Club sessions so why not come along and give it a go? In the meantime, if you have any questions contact
