Through the NGS Open Gardens scheme, Tattenhall Hall gardens will be open to the public from 2pm – 5.30pm on Sunday 4th June 2023.
Well worth a visit to see the natural wonder and beauty of this plant enthusiasts' garden around a Jacobean house (not open). There are 4½ acres, wildflower meadows, interesting trees, large pond, stream, walled garden, colour themed borders, succession planting, spinney walk with shade plants, yew terrace overlooking meadow, views to hills. Glasshouse and vegetable garden. Wildlife friendly, sometimes untidy garden, interest year-round, continuing to develop.
There are also a number of modern sculptures around the garden. A glasshouse attached to the house is used for unusual tender plants. The garden is still developing with new areas being worked on, and there is always something interesting to see.
For this open day you can book your tickets in advance. Click here to book via the NGS website or you can just turn up and pay on the day. Admission: Adult – £5.00; Child – free
