Bolesworth is a registered member of the National Garden Scheme and in 2023 we are holding two open days on Friday 12th & Saturday 13th May, bookable on the NGS website.
The Rock Walk, which stretches for half a mile above Bolesworth Castle, has recently been renovated. With stunning views across to the Welsh Hills and Liverpool it was originally planted up by Anthony Barbour in 1986.
Many new Camellias, Rhododendrons, Azaleas, and other spring plants have been added to the collection. New paths have been created and original stone features restored.
This is a beautiful but strenuous walk, steep at times, and only suitable for keen walkers. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be kept on the lead at all times.
No small children will be allowed owing to steep drops down to the drive (min age 12).
If you would like to join one of the open days please book your tickets viathe National Gardens Scheme website
All monies raised will go directly to the NGS who have raised millions of pounds for nursing and health charities since 1927. They also support charities doing amazing work in gardens and health, grant bursaries to help community gardening projects and support gardeners at the start of their career.
If you have any queries, please call Vicki Ball on 01829 782210 or email info@bolesworth.com.
