Pharmacy Funding in Crisis

"Community Pharmacieshave been here for you when you needed them most throughout the pandemics, with many staff making personal sacrifices to ensure people got the access they needed to medicines, advice and services.The Government has reduced and frozen pharmacy funding since 2016. With the current cost pressures pharmacies are finding it hard to survive. We are being asked to do more for less money. That's why you may have seen your pharmacy shorten its hours, reduce staff and stop providing some free services such as deliveries and medicine trays." --- Community Pharmacy Cheshire and Wirral.

In Tattenhall we have a brilliant pharmacy, which provides an amazing service to the community. They are suffering from staff shortages especially with the difficulty of recruiting staff. Now they are considering closing at lunchtime to enable staff to have a break.
But like all the other pharmacies in the area they also have to deal with shortages of stock, workforce issues in manufacturing and the effects of the Ukraine war.

• Tohelp our pharmacy please ensure you order your medication in plenty of time for the message to get from the GP to the Pharmacy, but no more than 7 days before it is due.
