Lands End-John of Groats Race through Tattenhall

The Lands' End John O'Groats running challenge is passing though Tattenhall tomorrow morning, sometime between 11am -- 2pm. They are coming into the village along Rocky Lane, along the High Street, taking a well-earned break in the shade at the Barbour and then heading out past the school, through Huxley and then on through Delamere until they rest at Runcorn.
Day 13 of a 36 day challenge, of over 100 miles across hill, mountain, moor, valley and Tattenhall High Street.

If you missed this yesterday here is a photo of some of the running group from Run Britannia taking a break at the Barbour. They are into week two of their 1000 mile run which will entail running 217 miles from Bristol to Preston. The distances are eye watering and after chatting with several of the runners they are enjoying it!! Lots of money is being raised for charity but their long standing partnership is with "Children with Cancer UK". They are supported en route by several vehicles containing physios and medics and in this really hot spell of weather a vat of sunscreen. It was lovely to be able to provide them with a shady spot to relax and re energise. Massages were available in the Green Room!!!
