Watch Out, Tattenhall Squirrels are About!
On Sunday afternoon, Tattenhall was filled with local sleuths searching high and low for hidden squirrels in the streets of the village.
The Squirrel Trail has captured the imagination of the village, with businesses, local organisations, and individuals creating their very own squirrel and putting it on display. At the last count there were 53 squirrels dotted around the village. After the bad weather on Saturday, running repairs were carried out to a number of squirrels early Sunday Morning, I understand Kevin had his colour scheme completely revised and Psychedelic Nuts beer glass had to be emptied of rain (and a hole drilled in it to weatherproof it for the days ahead)!
With mixed weather conditions the trail opened on Sunday with a welcome from Parish Chairman Iain Keeping, refreshments from the school PTA and refreshments and 'SQUIRREL BISCUITS ' donated by villagers.
The trail remains open throughout the summer.
Programmes cost £1 and are available from the Post Office and the Spar, all profits will be donated to the North West Air Ambulance.
The images are just a few of the squirrels on display.
