Disability Positive, a leading Cheshire-based charity supporting disabled people and those with long-term health conditions, has launched a fundraising campaign aimed at sustaining the delivery of 'Tarporley Social Circle' its social group for disabled adults living in Tarporley.
The campaign, which runs through September, invites individuals, businesses, and community groups to get involved through donations, volunteering, and spreading the word. With a growing demand for fully inclusive support in rural areas like Tarporley, the charity hopes to raise awareness and funds to ensure the future of the group.
"Tarporley Social Circle was created to meet a growing need for fully-accessible services for disabled people living in rural areas, where transport can be a barrier to participation,"said Lisa Cormack, Business Development Manager at Disability Positive."After less than a year we're already seeing great outcomes for our members, who are forming friendships, and gaining confidence. It's vital that we keep this group running so members can continue to benefit"
Over the next four weeks, supporters will receive inspiring stories, educational insights, and opportunities to make a difference.
Local businesses, community groups and individuals are encouraged to get involved by:
Making donations here
Sharing campaign messages on social media
