You'll have noticed it growing colder but winter will really start to bite as we approach this weekend.
The Met Office confirm that temperatures could drop to as low as -4 degrees over the next three days, although it is likely to be bright and clear.
Wednesday- morning: likely to drop below freezing, with -2 degrees a possibility between 7 and 8am.
Through the day (9am and 3pm) it will be bright, with temperatures around 1 and 2 degrees; returning to minus numbers during a clear evening, even as low as -3 degrees by 10pm. The minimum nighttime temperature is also expected to be around -4 degrees.
Thursday- very early fog and mist, clearing by 6am but cloudier through the day; possibly some sunshine between 12pm and 3pm (maybe a high of 2 degrees during the afternoon). A clear evening will mean temperatures will return to just below freezing.
Friday -Thursday night's low temperatures will continue into Friday, with -2 degrees likely to be around until 9am. For the afternoon some clear sunshine is expected and very little chance of rain, with temperatures possibly reaching 2 degrees.
The evening temperatures drop to around -2 degrees from 6pm onwards.
Saturday -morning: very cold with -3 degrees predicted between 3am and 8am, and possibly feeling much colder than that in some places. But the afternoon will warm up through the sunshine with clouds – and could reach as much as 3 degrees. As evening draws in, temperatures will drop towards 1 degree, or even freezing.
Sunday -morningwill stay around 0 degrees until about midday, when temperatures could rise to 4 degrees during the afternoon. Clouds will continue into the evening, with temperatures staying just above freezing.
Take care in these conditions. Wrap up warm when going out. Be prepared.
