Birdsong in the Village

A Stroll past the Flacca 

South of the Flacca, the Mill Stream flows through a reed bed which is maintained by TWIG. Walking round the reedbed field one morning this weekend, Reed, Sedge and Grasshopper Warblers were all singing plus Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Whitethroat and Lesser Whitethroat singing in Jubilee Wood. Seven species of warbler in such a small area is pretty good – TWIG should be proud of what has been created out of an intensively farmed field!!
