Are you keeping to the 20 mile an hour speed limit

We have a 20miles per hour speed limit through the centre of Tattenhall. How many people driving into the village or past the school keep to this limit-take note of the rant below!

WAVERTON SPEEDING RANT

I am REALLY disappointed to have to write this post tonight... In just 40 minutes, I stopped 28 drivers for SPEEDING in the 20mph zone right here in Waverton.

What's worse? A staggering 80% of those stopped were LOCAL or WAVERTON RESIDENTS!

Speeding is NOT just "because I forgot, is it, I was just......" -- it's one of the Fatal 5 reasons for serious and fatal collisions. Every time you put your foot down and ignore that 20mph sign, you're putting yourself, your neighbours, and children at risk.

To be absolutely clear tickets and points will be issued for both speeding and driving without due care and attention.

Here's a simple test to ask yourself every time you're behind the wheel: "If I did this on my driving test, would I pass?"

If the answer is NO , then you're driving WITHOUT due care and attention.

It only takes a moment for a mistake to become a tragedy.
