Tattenhall played host to a Cheshire under 11 game against Shropshire in the glorious sunshine on Monday.
Brian Jarrard prepared another superb surface as Cheshire recorded a season high score of 299-5 in their 40 overs.
This included a record stand of 202 between Jasper Wong (116 not out) and Joe Moores (95) as Cheshire made hay and their opponents wilted somewhat.
In reply the Shropshire innings closed on 146-7 to leave a large margin of victory for the Cheshire boys.
Joe Moores has a well known Uncle, Peter, the former England Coach now in charge of Nottinghamshire but originally from Macclesfield.
It was a very impressive effort from a side who are yet to start in secondary school and was enjoyed by an appreciative (if sweltering) crowd at the ground.
