The Housing Needs Survey carried out in 2017 was received by the Community Land Trust and Parish Council last week.

The two reports referred to can be found as follows:

  • 1. Tattenhall & District Household and Business Survey Report on Housing Need CLICK HERE
  • 2. Housing Needs Report for Tattenhall & District (Parish) CLICK HERE

Below is the email, received from the Policy and Development Manager advising that these reports may now be placed in the public domain.

Dear Tattenhall & District Parish Council and Community Land Trust Board Members,

I am delighted to finally be submitting the housing needs reports for the Parish: one is an analysis of the household and business surveys carried out last year and; the second report is a longer term assessment of population trends and economic factors that may influence housing need.

Both reports have been produced by Cheshire Community Action and commissioned by Cheshire West & Chester Council, Housing Policy Team.

Firstly, I would like to thank the Parish Council and the Community Land Trust for their incredible patience in waiting for these reports. They have taken a very long time due to a combination of factors but notwithstanding a huge effort by the project team (made up of CCA and CWaC) to ensure that we provide a robust body of evidence that the Parish Council can use to inform its decision making and of course, we hope this will help unlock the planning process for the CLT development.

These reports can be shared in the public domain and we would encourage this as they could help guide and influence future developments to help meet Tattenhall's needs.

There is a lot of information here so feel free to take the time to digest their content and I would be happy to attend a Parish Council meeting or a CLT Board meeting to answer questions and discuss their content.

Finally, I would like to thank all those residents and businesses who responded to the survey last year. Without these responses, we could not conduct such an extensive analysis.

Kind Regards,

John
