The weekend cricket saw Tattenhall 1st XI start with a losing draw at Northwich whilst the 2nd XI had a winning draw at the Flacca against Alderley Edge.
Northwich scored 210 for 7 in their 50 overs, with Alan Brock taking 4 wickets, and veteran Mel Dobson bowling 13 overs for 23 runs to slow down the run rate. The 2nd XI were asked to bat at the Flacca, and after losing a couple of early wickets Rob Okell and Robin Mulvihill put on a large stand for the 4th wicket, with Rob (who has not played cricket for 12 years) scoring 97, and Robin 73. The team finished on 240 for 7 off their allotted 50 overs. In reply, Alderley Edge scored 210 for 8 with all Tattenhall bowlers performing well. Next week they travel to local rivals Chester Boughton Hall.
